A small detail set in 1:35 scale with five fuel caps for Israeli vehicles built on the Centurion chassis. It is not a kit or a part of one - these are replacement parts that substitute for the flat, simplified caps from the mold of the basic model. The variant designation in the name refers to one of several cap types that appeared on the real vehicles; the manufacturer lists further variants within the same range.
The Shot Kal is the Israeli version of the Centurion tank, rearmed and fitted with a new powerplant; from the same chassis then came the heavy carriers Nagmashot and Nagmachon. The fuel tank caps are among the most conspicuous small details on the upper surface of the hull - they are visible from an ordinary view of a model, they have a pronounced rim, a handle and fine cast markings. It is precisely such small items that tend to be simplified in injected plastic because of the direction in which the part leaves the mold.
The caps are small parts, so expect them to get lost easily - work over a tray or over a light cloth and use tweezers with fine tips. Cut them off the casting block with a fine-toothed saw, not with pliers, which would crush the casting. Level the seat in the hull so that the cap does not end up crooked; a part glued blind is immediately visible on a horizontal surface. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, best applied with a pin so that the excess does not flood the engraved detail. The caps are worth painting together with the whole hull and then merely darkening with a wash and lightly bringing out at the edges - on the real vehicles they tend to be scuffed from refueling and from the crew's boots.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
