A decal sheet in 1:35 scale with markings for the Soviet off-road cars GAZ-69 and GAZ-69A of the Cold War period, including the vehicles of the Warsaw Pact countries.
Responsibility details are not available.
The GAZ-69 was a light off-road car which did in the Eastern bloc what cars of similar size did elsewhere: it carried commanders, towed light weapons and served signal troops and border troops alike. A simple angular body and all-wheel drive made it a machine that survived for decades and spread to a whole range of armies. The 69A version differs from the basic form in the arrangement of the body and the number of doors. Production later moved to a different plant, which is why you will come across the designation GAZ as well as UAZ for the same vehicle.
The markings aim at the vehicles of the Soviet army and of the armies of the Warsaw Pact countries in the Cold War period, that is at national insignia, registration numbers and recognition features. The printing is in 1:35 scale, that is for the most common size of kits of ground hardware.
The body is angular and the areas are small, so place the elements on the flat parts between the beading and the hinges. Paint the model and give it a coat of gloss varnish, and separate the elements with a sharp blade close to the print. Check the application procedure in the instructions enclosed with the sheet and use a decal softener only where the instructions allow it. With registration numbers, make sure they are at the same height on both sides of the vehicle, otherwise the model looks crooked.
The set is for modelers who build Eastern bloc hardware and want to place a vehicle with a particular army. This is a decal sheet; the kit of the vehicle, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
