This is a resin detail set in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory for the Soviet three-axle GAZ-AAA truck. The casting represents the engine deck, the hood, pulled over with winter canvas of the kind that protected the engine in hard frost.
The GAZ-AAA was a Soviet truck with a six-wheel layout, used widely by the Red Army during the Second World War both for transport and as a chassis for all manner of bodies. The winter canvas over the engine compartment kept the engine from getting too cold, and it is a popular winter detail.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Bond the resin with super glue. Bring up the canvas with drybrushing and a wash so that the folds stand out; snow and mud effects suit a winter scene well.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
