Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the maker Trumpeter captures the German Panzertriebwagen Nr.16 armored railcar in 1:35 scale. It is a new tooling with a richly broken-down shell, photo-etched parts and a section of railway track with ties and rails, on which the model can be displayed. Clear parts for the lights are included as well.
The Panzertriebwagen Nr.16 was a heavy armored railcar built in 1942 on the basis of an armored locomotive of the WR 550 D14 type. It was powered by a diesel engine with a Voith hydraulic transmission. The vehicle was wrapped in armor all over and at both ends it carried artillery platforms with guns of 76.2 mm caliber. It was committed on the Eastern Front and was among the heaviest single-track armored vehicles of its day.
Assemble the running gear and the bogies before closing the superstructures. An airbrush and subsequent emphasis of the details with a wash suit the riveted surface and the broken-up platforms. You will bring the track and the ties to life with pigments and dust effects; a colored base coat (primer) for plastic is worth using.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
