An accessory for a diorama in 1:35 scale, that is in the same scale in which most military models and figures are issued. It is precisely such small things that make a scene out of a model standing on its own: they give it a sense of size, suggest what is going on in it and fill the empty places around a vehicle. The list of parts is stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
It comes into its own best in an occupied corner of a scene, at the side of a vehicle, on the bed or beside figures at work. In laying out it helps to put the parts down dry and to look at the scene first from the height of the viewer's eye; only then glue them for good. It pays off to leave free space between the objects, so that the diorama does not come across as crowded and the viewer's eye has a way through.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest off with fine sandpaper. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts, otherwise paint holds badly on a smooth surface. A darker base proves its worth, on it the base shade and at the end a wash into the hollows with drybrushing on the edges. Choose the color scheme according to the scene the object is being stood in, so that it matches the surrounding equipment and the terrain.
