German jerrycans for fuel dated 1943 in 1:35 scale will complete a model of a military vehicle with equipment that period machines never lacked.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set for builders of military equipment in 1:35 scale. It adds to a finished model a small but at first glance legible item of equipment: standardized containers for fuel. The name gives twelve pieces, the year 1943 and the abbreviations of two works, whose stamped markings differed from one another on period containers. Behind the set stands GasPatch models.
The unified jerrycan of the Wehrmacht settled in the second half of the nineteen thirties and served as the pattern for Allied counterparts. Twenty liters of volume, three handles side by side for carrying by one or two people and a lever closure that opened without tools. Swages in the shape of the letter X stiffened the sides and an air chamber buoyed a full container on water. On the neck the designation of the contents, the year of production and the mark of the works tended to be stamped.
Containers dated to the year 1943 belong with equipment of the later war period, where crews carried them in frames on the fenders, at the rear of a turret or lashed to the sides of trucks. Spray the base shade before you seat the pieces on the model, otherwise the edges of the swages will be flooded with paint. Suggest rubbing around the handles and the lower edges with a dark pigment or with paint stippled with a piece of sponge.
