An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the maker Rye Field Model. The model captures the modern Leopard 2A7 version and workable tracks are in the box as well. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and tools are not included.
The Leopard 2A7 is the most modern production version of the German Leopard 2 main battle tank, developed for use in conventional combat as well as in operations in cities. Compared with the older versions it brings improved crew protection, better command and fire control systems and better adaptation for asymmetric conflicts. Its armament is a 120 mm smoothbore gun and it is one of the most capable tanks of the present day; it is in service with the German Bundeswehr and with other armies.
With armored equipment, first finish and paint the running gear and any interior, and only then close the hull — the tracks and the wheels are hard to reach later. Glue the parts with a liquid cement for plastic, assemble the workable tracks patiently and leave them movable. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush; the modern three-color NATO camouflage (green, brown, black) is typical. Finish the patina with a dark wash in the recesses and with dust and mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
