A model of the German Kfz.2 light radio car in 1:35 scale, intended to be assembled and painted.
Responsibility details are not available.
Kfz.2 was the service designation of a German light off-road car in radio configuration, used during the Second World War. The car was based on the light standardized chassis and carried equipment for radio and telephone communication, so it served as a mobile signals post with staffs as well as with combat units. Compared with an ordinary car it had an adapted body and fittings for operating the radio set.
The 1:35 scale set captures this car as a standalone model to be assembled and painted. The number of parts, the equipment variant and the marking options are given in the manufacturer's instructions. 1:35 is the most widespread scale for military vehicles, so the finished car goes easily with figures and accessories for dioramas in the same scale.
First free the parts of surplus material and traces of production: cut them off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder down. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Dry-fit the assembly, especially the frame and the chassis, so that the car stands level on all its wheels. Finish the interior of the car and the signals equipment before you close them in. Before painting, wash and degrease the surface and lay down a thin primer coat; only then spray the shade you have chosen.
The set suits modelers who build German vehicles in 1:35 scale and want to add a light wheeled vehicle to their armor, and diorama builders working on signals subjects. Paints, thinner, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
