Dragon 1:35 German Mine Detectors is a plastic figure set of German soldiers with mine-detecting equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from Dragon shows German soldiers of the Second World War searching for and clearing mines. The figures carry period detectors and probing tools. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Mine clearing was one of the riskiest tasks of the engineer units. The soldiers used hand-held electromagnetic detectors as well as probing rods, with which they carefully worked through suspect ground. The figures match German uniforms of the middle and later phases of the war and are completed by the characteristic mine-detecting equipment.
Cut the fine detector parts away carefully with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Airbrush the uniforms in shades of field gray and olive, and bring out the folds with a wash and drybrushing. Set the instruments and metal parts apart in darker tones, with light rubbing for a worn look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
