A figure kit in 1:35 scale from Riich Models. The package contains two soldiers and two horses; the parts are injection-molded in hard plastic and meant to be assembled and painted. The set serves excellently to bring a scene with horse-drawn equipment alive, or as a scene of mounted troops in its own right.
Although the Second World War is associated with motorization, horses remained an important part of the German army - they were used for riding and for pulling guns and supply wagons. The set shows mounted troops and their horses in period equipment, which makes it possible to fill out a field scene from the Eastern or the Western Front realistically.
Cut the parts off the sprue with a sharp knife and clean up the parting lines. The horses and the uniforms come out well with oil washes and a dry brush; the coats of the horses are best shaded from the darker tones toward the lighter ones. Bring out the harness and the metal details with a dark shade in the recesses.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
