An injection-molded plastic model of the German light tank Pz.Kpfw.38(t) Ausf.B in 1:35 scale. The kit is made by Hobby Boss; it contains a full interior, photo-etched parts and decals. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The 38(t) tank grew out of the design of the Czechoslovak arms works CKD (Praga), originally designated LT vz. 38. After the occupation of Czecho-Slovakia the Wehrmacht took it over and used it under the designation Pz.Kpfw.38(t). The Ausf.B variant looks outwardly similar to the early Ausf.A version; vehicles of this family fought in France in 1940 with the 7th and 8th Panzer Divisions. The armament was a 37 mm gun and machine guns; the reliable chassis with its large road wheels became the basis for a whole series of derived vehicles.
Finish and paint the interior and the running gear before you close up the hull - after that you can no longer get at the details. Spray the base over a primer, and use thinned paints in the airbrush. You can create dust and mud effects with pigments on the underside of the hull and on the tracks, and washes running into the corners will bring out the riveted armor. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate at the end.
