A kit of the modern German Eagle IV armored utility vehicle in the form of the 2011 production series, issued by the Vespid Models brand as a limited edition. Check how the limited edition differs from the basic one against the list on the box before buying. The 1:35 scale is the standard for military subjects.
The Eagle IV is a protected 4x4 vehicle built on an off-road chassis with an armored military body. The cab withstands small arms fire and the shaped floor disperses the blast wave of an explosion under the vehicle. On the roof there tends to be a rotating weapon station or a glazed observation cupola, depending on the version. The vehicle replaced older unprotected off-road cars and serves for patrol duty, for carrying a crew, as a liaison and command asset and for escorting convoys. The production year in the name refers to a particular production series, because the individual series differ in small points of equipment.
Finish and paint the chassis, the axles and the underside of the hull before you put the wheels on. Assemble the body with the emphasis on the seams and on the even seating of the doors and hatches, because on modern subjects every unevenness shows at once. Paint the tires in a matte blackish gray rather than pure black. Enliven the single-color and three-tone schemes of modern German equipment by lightening the centers of the panels subtly. Keep the weathering restrained; heavy rust effects do not look believable on these vehicles.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
