A set of 3D-printed props from the manufacturer LIANG Model. According to the name it contains eight crates for bottles of beer and soda in a form corresponding to the period of the Second World War, in the size for two smaller scales. It is not a kit but a scenic accessory. It differs from the sister set for 1:35 in its size as well as in the higher number of pieces, which makes sense in the small scales: you need more of them in a scene.
In the small scales an individual prop is lost, but a group makes its mark. Eight crates make it possible to build a taller stack by a wall, to fill the bed of a truck or to distribute several smaller heaps over the whole area and so tie a scene together. The period form matters here: a prop from the present day would be jarring in a tableau of the 1940s, and the viewer will notice it even if they cannot explain why.
Leave the parts on the carrier structure until you have painted them. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel just before placing them and level the remains of a support with a fine file. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue transferred on the tip of a wire. Handle the painting by contrast rather than by detail: a dark base, the saturated color of the crate, lightened top edges and the contents suggested with a dark shade. Dust pigment at the bottom will visually settle a stack onto the ground. Protect your airways when sanding printed materials.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
