The set Gothic stained glass windows (Typ5) will glaze the openings of a Gothic building in a diorama of 1:35 scale in color.

An insert for the window openings of church architecture in 1:35, kept as the fifth of the line of patterns. It deals with the detail that decides whether a building looks alive or like a stage flat: an empty opening gives away the hollow inside, while glazing instead suggests a space the viewer cannot see into. It is precisely for that reason that it pays to glaze even windows that are not at the front of a tableau.
Smaller window areas you find on cemetery chapels, on sacristies, at the base of a tower and on village churches that never had large glazing. Such buildings often stand alone at the edge of a village, by a cemetery wall or on a rise above a road, and in a diorama they suit places where there is no room for an extensive church. They also come out strikingly in a winter scene, where the color of a window contrasts with snow and a gray sky.
First clean the reveal of the remains left by demolding, so that the insert seats level and does not twist. Attach it away from the area the light comes through, ideally behind the frame. Then patinate the outer side lightly with the shade you used on the facade, and pick out the lower edge of the panes with a dark run of the kind that flowing water makes over the years. A couple of cracked or missing panes will add age even when the building is not damaged by fighting.
