A resin wheel set in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Hanomag SS100 heavy road tractor. The castings carry the tread of Fulda tires, and that is exactly the detail by which the set differs from the otherwise identical variant with the Continental tread. It is an accessory for a finished kit, not a kit in itself.
The Hanomag SS100 was a heavy wheeled tractor with two axles, a rugged frame and a massive hood. It was used for towing heavy trailers and artillery trains and, in air force service, for towing aircraft around an airfield. Besides the army it ran with civilian firms, and its characteristic tall hood and large wheels make it a rewarding subject for modelers and for a diorama with an airfield or workshop setting.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw, true the cut with a file and protect your airways while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate. Before fitting the wheels, check the diameter of the stub on the axle. On a heavy tractor it is worth sanding the bottom of the tires into a flat, because the vehicle stands on the base under load and a flat patch gives that away at once.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
