Figures of a German Tiger tank crew in 1:35 scale, rendered in a quiet moment over a lit cigarette.
Responsibility details are not available.
The name of the set is the question with which a soldier asks a comrade for a light. The handling of the figures matches that: this is not combat action but a quiet moment between drives, of the kind that takes up more room in period photographs of tank crews than the fighting itself. It is exactly such tableaux that turn a tank model into a scene, because they show the viewer the scale of the machine and how people behaved around it.
The real subject is German tankers from a Tiger, that is the heavy tank that made its name with a massive hull of flat surfaces and a long gun. The crews of armored units wore a short jacket and trousers of a dark cut, with a peaked cap or a side cap; the clothing was looser than that of the infantry so that work was possible in the cramped space of a tank.
Figures of a German tank crew in 1:35 scale in relaxed stances. They suit models of the Tiger and other German armored vehicles of the same scale, on the hull, on the turret and beside the vehicle; a trio of figures at the side of a tank, where one offers a light and the others look on, works especially well.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down, carefully around the faces and the hands. Wash and degrease the figures before painting. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; the procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Try the seating on the model dry before you glue anything. Do not give the dark overalls pure black but a dark base lightened toward gray, otherwise the detail of the folds will be lost.
The figures are supplied to be assembled and painted. The tank model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
