Wheels for the Horch 830R 1:35 from PANZER ART: resin wheels for a model of the German passenger car.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin wheels for a model of the German Horch type 830R passenger car with an eight-cylinder engine, in 1:35 scale. On passenger cars the wheels are visible in full and their shape strongly decides whether a model looks right for its period. The casting captures both the tread pattern and the profile of the tire sidewall, which on plastic wheels usually disappears into the mold split line.
Horch was among the leading German makes of upper-class passenger cars, and its models with an eight-cylinder engine served in the army as well, where they were used as staff and communications vehicles. It is exactly such cars that appear in period photographs at headquarters and at parades, so it suits a diorama where something other than combat hardware is to stand.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water so that traces of mold release agent disappear. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and level the mark; sand with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. Do not paint the tire black: aged rubber is more of a dark gray. On a staff car it pays to leave the wheels cleaner than on combat hardware, because such cars were usually looked after, while still suggesting dust on the sidewalls.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted and it is an accessory, not a kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
