The corner of a house in 1:35 scale as a scenic item for a diorama. Two adjoining walls create a street corner and give a model and figures a firm frame.
Responsibility details are not available.
The corner of a house is more useful in a display than a whole building. It takes up little room, yet it says unmistakably that the action is taking place among buildings, and its two walls mark out a street and a sidewalk. The 1:35 scale matches ordinary models of military hardware and figures, so the item can be combined with whatever you already have under construction.
A corner is usually set at the rear or side edge of a base so that the walls lead the viewer's eye into the display. A vehicle turned at an angle to the corner looks as though it were just driving into the street. The viewer imagines the rest of the buildings, so there is no need to build a whole block of houses. The item works equally well in a display case as a background for a single model and in a larger competition display with figures.
Before gluing, set the item up dry and check that the walls meet the base over their whole face; level out any small unevenness in the ground before fixing it. Choose the glue according to the material of the part and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Clear the dust off the surface, apply a continuous base, bring out the molded relief of the plaster and the masonry with a dry brush and underline the joints with a dark glaze. The foot of the wall takes a fine deposit of dust and mud.
Paints, glue, figures, models of hardware and material for terrain are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
