Wheels for the Humber Mk I armored car with the tread of one tire maker in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. A resin set.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set, not a vehicle model. Against a plastic part, a resin casting has a sharper rendering of the tread, a truer transition between tire and hub and above all no mold parting seam that would have to be removed from a circular part. The designation in brackets after the name refers to the tire maker, and therefore to a particular tread pattern. British vehicles received tires from several suppliers and their patterns differed clearly, so for a modeler building a particular vehicle from a photograph the choice of tread is part of accuracy. That is why the manufacturer also offers a set with the pattern of another supplier.
The Humber Mk I was a British armored car with all-wheel drive, committed from the beginning of the Second World War. It served for reconnaissance and patrol duty, that is, for tasks where speed on the road and range decided, not armor. The vehicle had a small turret with light armament and a crew of three or four men.
The set is for modelers of British vehicles who are finishing off the chassis and want a tread matching the subject in a photograph. Working with resin is not difficult, but it differs from plastic.
It is not a vehicle model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
