An injection-molded plastic kit of the Israeli armored recovery vehicle Merkava ARV in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The model is richly broken down and includes photo-etched parts. The Merkava ARV (Armored Recovery Vehicle) is an Israeli armored recovery vehicle built on the chassis of the Merkava tank. The Israel Defense Forces developed it as a heavy recovery vehicle able to tow and repair damaged vehicles right in combat, with the aim of replacing older types in service. For the crew's own protection the vehicle carries machine guns. The strong Merkava chassis gives the vehicle the toughness and the power needed to work under fire.
Given the high number of parts, work patiently in subassemblies - first assemble and paint the running gear and the recovery equipment. Glue the parts with a liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Over the base coat in the Israeli sand gray shade, bring out the details with a wash and apply pigments to the lower areas and the running gear for the dust effects typical of service in arid terrain.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
