1:35 Jungle Plant No.3

Jungle plant No.3 in 1:35 scale

The accessory 1:35 Jungle Plant No.3 comes from the numbered RT-Diorama range of tropical vegetation. It is not a model of a vehicle or a figure but an element of the setting that is added to a scene already under construction. The whole range is built so that it can be combined: the number in the name distinguishes the individual variants and the modeler puts the growth together from them to suit their own subject.

Scale decides credibility

With vegetation, mistakes of scale show at once, because the viewer subconsciously compares a plant with the figure beside it. The 1:35 figure in the name is therefore not a formality - it is the main guide that the accessory suits your scene. When putting growth together, always compare the plants against a figure rather than against one another.

Tips for placing it in the scene

• Stand a figure beside the plant before you set it and check the proportion.
• Taller greenery belongs rather at the back and lower greenery at the front, so that the scene has depth.
• Carry the vegetation over the edges of the scene too; growth never ends exactly at the edge of a board.
• Do not set the plants exactly upright; a slight lean and different angles look livelier.
• Choose the way of fixing them according to the groundwork of the scene and the make of the parts.

Who the accessory is for

• Builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale.
• Modelers who watch the proportions between a figure and its setting.
• Those who put jungle growth together from several variants of the range.
• Collectors of figures looking for a setting for their figure.
