A plastic kit of the modern engineer vehicle Kodiak AEV-3 built on the chassis of the Leopard 2 tank. The Border Model kit is designed as 2-in-1: you can build either the Swiss production version or the German demonstrator. The model offers a working excavator arm and front blade, functional suspension and, once assembled, workable tracks. Photo-etched parts are included.
The Kodiak (AEV-3, Armoured Engineer Vehicle) is a modern armored engineer vehicle developed jointly by German and Swiss firms on the proven Leopard 2 chassis. It serves to clear obstacles, to dig, to recover vehicles and to prepare crossings on the battlefield. Its equipment includes a hydraulic excavator arm, a universal blade and a winch; among others, the armed forces of Switzerland use the vehicle.
Assemble and paint the running gear before you finish the hull. The working arm and the blade can be fixed in a working position for a diorama. A restrained camouflage, fine grading of the shades and discreet dusting suit a modern vehicle; bring out the earth-moving tools with metal wear and traces of soil.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
