The Wolf is the British militarized version of the Land Rover Defender, carried by the armed forces as Truck Utility Light or Medium (TUL/TUM). The abbreviation WMIK stands for Weapons Mount Installation Kit: a lightened open conversion fitted with weapon mounts. The vehicle serves for reconnaissance and direct fire support; on the rear ring mount it carries a heavy machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber or a general-purpose machine gun of 7.62 mm, and a further machine gun tends to sit on the front pintle beside the passenger. The WMIK proved itself in desert as well as mountain service.
With an open structure, first assemble and paint the frame, the chassis and the interior carefully, because they stay visible once the build is complete. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. You can leave the removable hood open and show the engine. After the base color and the varnish, bring out the detail with a wash and apply pigments to the lower areas for dust and sand effects matching service in the desert.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
