A resin set from the South Korean brand DEF Model in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers - a set of weighted, slightly sagged wheels with faithful tires for a model of the American LAV-25 SLEP wheeled armored vehicle. It replaces the perfectly round plastic wheels from the box.
Sagged wheels imitate the weight of a vehicle settling onto the ground, so that the model looks realistically loaded. Resin offers a sharp tread and rim detail that injection-molded plastic cannot manage. The set usually comes with a mask for the rims and is intended for the matching LAV-25 SLEP plastic kit in 1:35.
Separate the wheels from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the tire and the rim separately; use the mask for a clean division of the colors. Sand the resin with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
