An Eduard photo-etched detail set for the Leopard 1A2 in 1:35 scale. A metal accessory for refining the kit of the German tank, not a stand-alone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts from Eduard meant to refine the plastic kit of the German Leopard 1A2 tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the tank but a detail accessory that replaces coarser plastic features with thin photo-etched parts. The scope of the set is described in the enclosed instructions.
The Leopard 1 was a German tank of the Cold War period, which from the 1960s served with the Bundeswehr and with a number of other armies. It was marked by its mobility, a 105 mm gun and relatively light armor with the emphasis on speed. The 1A2 version brought changes to the turret and the protection.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret, bend them on a bending tool and glue them with super glue. Detail the fenders, grilles and mountings before painting. Apply a primer before spraying; for standard Cold War camouflage a discreet wash and dust pigments on the running gear suit well.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant to complete an existing kit.
