The Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 is a modern main battle tank concept that the European defense group KNDS developed from the proven Leopard 2. The aim was to withstand threats that the existing equipment does not fully match, above all modern anti-tank missiles and the newest enemy tanks. As standard it carries a 120 mm smoothbore gun, while the concept allows for fitting 130 mm and 140 mm calibers. Its hallmarks are a new, angular turret and modern electronics.
Fit and clean up the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. The modern turret is made up of a series of flat panels, so take care over clean, straight joints; use liquid cement on the plastic and, after filling, sand the seams and apply a primer. With contemporary hardware, more restrained weathering works well: fine washes into the recesses, discreet highlighting of the edges with a dry brush and only mild dust pigments on the underside and the running gear. You will bring the sensor optics to life with a drop of gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
