The M1117 Guardian is an American four-wheeled armored vehicle. It was used to protect and escort columns and for patrol duty, that is for tasks that call for armor protection against splinters and light weapons but not for the weight of a fighting vehicle. Its identifying features are the tall hull with sloping sides and the small turret on the roof.
According to the name the set brings together interior parts and wheels. The interior equipment is visible on the model through open hatches and doors, where a kit as a rule offers only bare walls; the wheels replace the parts from the kit. Offer the parts up dry first.
The interior belongs to the first steps of the build: it has to be finished and painted before the hull is closed up, or you will no longer get inside. The wheels, by contrast, go on at the end, after the vehicle has been painted, so that they can be comfortably painted separately and the rubber part does not have to be followed round with a brush in a narrow gap. Cut the excess material off a little way from the part with a sharp blade and sand what remains. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. The manufacturer's instructions give the right glue and the surface preparation.
The kit of the vehicle, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
