This photo-etched brass set brings thin exterior parts for detailing a model of the American M4 Sherman tank in 1:35 scale. They are used to replace thick plastic sections and to add fenders, grilles, mountings, tool clips and other fine points of the hull. It is an accessory for more advanced modelers; the base kit and glue are not included.
The M4 Sherman was an American medium tank of the Second World War and one of the most widespread armored weapons of the Allies. The basic M4 version had a welded hull and a 75 mm gun. Thanks to its reliability and ease of manufacture it served on every Allied front. The smooth surfaces of the hull are ideal for detailing with etching.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade and make the bends with a bending tool. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer. The details are brought out by washes running into the joints and by fine dry brushing of the edges.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. It calls for a separately bought M4 Sherman kit in the matching scale. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
