Besides the weapon itself the package also holds figures of the artillery crew, so the model can be taken as a small scene. The 155 mm howitzer M1 (later designated M114) was an American medium towed howitzer introduced during the Second World War. It served for artillery support at medium ranges and, thanks to its reliability, stayed in service in many armies long after the war. Its carriage with splitting trails provided stability when firing.
Concentrate on a clean build of the carriage and the barrel; dry-fit the moving elements before you fix them with glue. Unify the weapon with a base olive paint, bring the details out with a wash and add dust pigments on the lower areas. Bring the crew figures to life with the shades of the uniforms and the skin and set them into a simple scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
