Replacement wheels in 1:35 scale for models of military vehicles with the American M1014 and M1010 designations. The tread pattern corresponds to Continental HCS tires, that is, to the design that these vehicles carry. The number of pieces in the package and the breakdown of the parts are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
On military vehicles the wheels tend to be what is seen most: they stand low, at the level of the viewer's gaze, and their tread pattern draws the eye sooner than the details on the body. Parts from a kit tend to have the rendering of the tread softer and they carry traces of production exactly where they are harder to sand off. Separate wheels get around this problem: they have a sharper tread pattern and articulation of the rim and they are painted separately from the vehicle, so you do not have to struggle with masking the border between the tire and the disc.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the shape of the sidewall of the tire is preserved. Wash and degrease the wheels before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly. For fitting them onto the axles use cyanoacrylate glue, which joins even materials on which glue for polystyrene has no effect. Leave the tires in a dark gray shade instead of pure black, and apply dust and mud mainly into the grooves and onto the sides. Finish and glue the wheels on only at the end, otherwise they get in the way during further work with the model.
For modelers who are building the vehicles mentioned and want cleaner and sharper wheels, and for builders of dioramas where the vehicle stands in mud or in sand. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
