Injection-molded plastic kit of the M29C Weasel in 1:35 scale from Takom: the American light amphibious tracked carrier of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the American light amphibious tracked vehicle M29C Weasel in 1:35 scale from Takom. The box contains tracks built by the link & length method, photo-etched and transparent parts, a seated figure and a decal sheet. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Weasel was a light tracked carrier with very low ground pressure, which allowed it to move through snow, mud and sand. The amphibious M29C version, nicknamed the Water Weasel, had a sealed hull, buoyancy chambers at the front and the rear and a pair of rudders for steering on the water. It was powered by a six-cylinder Studebaker gasoline engine; the vehicle served the Allies during the Second World War and afterwards.
Finish and paint the running gear and the inside of the hull before closing it up, because they are harder to reach afterwards. Assemble the link & length tracks in stages, using the longer runs and individual links. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with liquid cement run into the seams. Apply a primer before painting, spray with an airbrush in thin coats and lift the surface with a wash and pigments for mud and dust effects on the tracks and the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
