A plastic kit of the 105 mm M2A1 howitzer in 1:35 scale from AFV Club: the American field howitzer of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American 105 mm M2A1 howitzer with its carriage in 1:35 scale, made by AFV Club. The set works the barrel, the cradle and the recoil mechanism up faithfully and holds photo-etched parts; the model is built unassembled and unpainted.
The howitzer of 105 mm caliber, the M2A1 (later redesignated the M101), was the standard light field gun of the American army from the Second World War and served long after it. It excelled in reliability, range and simple handling and became one of the most widespread artillery systems of its class. It was towed behind an artillery tractor and was set up in a firing position with the arms of its carriage spread.
Pay attention to the movable items of the carriage and to the correct seating of the barrel. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After spraying the base coat, choose an olive green scheme; bring out the metal parts of the barrel and the breech with a dark wash, draw the edges in with dry-brushing and round the lower areas of the carriage out with dust pigments. The gun will stand out splendidly in a diorama with a crew.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
