The AH-64D is an American attack helicopter with a crew of two sitting one behind the other: the weapon systems officer in front, the pilot behind and above him. On the ground it stands on wheels, along the sides of the fuselage it carries stub wings with pylons and under the nose a movable cannon. Some of the machines of the D version have a conspicuous radar housing above the head of the main rotor, by which the machine is recognized at first glance. The cockpit and the broken-up surface of the fuselage give the modeler plenty of places where detail will show.
This is an accessory to a model in 1:48 scale, of the kind that is supplied as decals. Elements of this kind replace or refine the places a kit solves in a simplified way, and they give the model the division and the color detail that cannot be reached in plastic. The extent of the elements, their form and the kit they are cut for are stated in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
Before applying them, check in the instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive; the procedure for applying them differs between the individual lines and is stated by the instructions to this set. A self-adhesive element that has been soaked can no longer be saved, whereas a wet decal cannot be applied without soaking. Wash and degrease the undercoat beforehand and remove from it any molded detail that would make a bump under the element. Carry the elements with tweezers with smooth jaws and press them into place with a soft tool from the center toward the edges. Place whatever belongs inside the cockpit before you close the fuselage up.
The helicopter model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery unless stated otherwise.
