This is a resin accessory, not a complete tank model. The set from the Polish maker Panzer Art adds improvised extra armor to a model of the M4 Sherman tank, of the kind crews welded on and built up in the field for the assault vehicle role. The parts are precisely cast in resin and are fitted to the base kit.
The accessory turns an ordinary Sherman into a field-modified assault machine with additional protection. It suits dioramas as well as standalone display models, where it gives the vehicle character and battle wear. It is intended for M4 Sherman models in 1:35 scale.
First wash the mold release residue off the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water. Cut off the casting blocks with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and dry-fit the part before you set it in place. Improvised armor suits weathering, washes and pigments with dust and mud effects.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
