This is a detail accessory combining photo-etched metal parts and resin castings, intended to refine the plastic kit of the single-seat Astir CS-77 glider in 1:72 scale. It is not a model in its own right - it adds to and refines the areas that injection-molded plastic cannot capture, typically the cockpit and the interior.
The Astir CS-77 is a single-seat fiberglass standard class glider from the late 1970s, popular in training and in club flying. It was notable for the clean aerodynamic shapes typical of the all-composite construction of the time.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks with a sharp saw and glue them with super glue. Protect your airways while sanding. Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and bend them as needed. Degrease and prime both the metal and the resin before painting.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
