This is a plastic kit of a small walking machine from the original MechatroWeGo series, which the Japanese company Hasegawa issues as a numbered line. It carries the number 19 and the name Ghost. The WeGo is conceived as a small civilian work machine: a stocky hull with a glazed cabin for one figure and two walking legs. The individual releases in the series differ in color scheme and in small changes, so they can be built side by side as a collection. The manufacturer also makes other numbers in the line, including releases in a larger scale.
Injection-molded plastic is glued with a liquid cement, which capillary action draws into the joint. Before you start, go through the instructions in the box: in this series some of the parts are arranged differently than in a conventional aircraft kit, so it is worth knowing the sequence in advance. Degrease the parts before painting and apply a primer; the rounded surfaces of the hull are best sprayed with an airbrush in thin coats. Because the real subject is fictional, the color scheme is entirely up to you. A saturated base coat, panel gaps gently picked out with a flowing paint and lightly drybrushed edges all work well. Mask the cabin glazing before painting and fit it right at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
