Photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale for a modern military vehicle. Which kit they belong to and where on the model they go is given in the maker's instructions.
Responsibility details are not available.
Photo-etch solves the places where a plastic part cannot be thin enough. Grilles, covers, brackets, eyes and steps are a few millimeters thick on the real vehicle, which in 1:35 scale comes out at tenths of a millimeter. An injection-molded part cannot be made in such a thickness, whereas etched sheet can, and the difference is visible on a finished model at first glance, above all where a grille is supposed to be see-through. The extent of this set and what it is for are given in the maker's instructions.
The set is intended for 1:35 scale and it aims at modern ground equipment, that is at vehicles of postwar and current production. Which model the set suits is given on the packaging and in the maker's instructions. With ground equipment, photo-etched additions are usually tied to one particular kit and are adapted to another only with modifications.
The parts are held on the fret by small tabs. Cut them off with a sharp blade on a hard surface, because scissors would bend the sheet where they cut. Make the bends along the scored line over a metal edge or in a bending tool, and make them in a single movement, because repeated re-bending fatigues the sheet and the part will crack. Make the joints with cyanoacrylate glue applied in a minute amount, because ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on metal. Degrease the parts before painting and use a primer meant for metal, otherwise the finish will come off during further handling.
The package contains photo-etched parts. The kit, paints and glue are supplied separately, unless stated otherwise.
