A detail set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale representing an electronic countermeasures (ECM) antenna for the American HUMVEE light vehicle. It is the type 2 version with a telescopic pole. The set is made up of fine metal and photo-etched parts and serves as an accessory for a model you have already built, not as a kit of the vehicle.
Electronic countermeasures (ECM) are used on modern vehicles to jam and protect against remotely detonated explosive devices. A characteristic feature is the tall antenna poles, which are mounted on the body or the fenders. The telescopic version makes it possible to change the height of the antenna according to the situation, which is a typical mark of American vehicles on overseas missions after 2000.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret and clean up the edges. Bond the thin pole with super glue and take care while handling it not to bend it. We recommend gluing the antenna on only at the end of the build, after the surrounding body has been painted, so that it does not get damaged. Degrease the metal parts before painting and apply a base coat for good adhesion.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is intended for completing a kit you already have.
