The Mitsubishi Starion was a sporting rear-wheel-drive coupe of the 1980s, powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. A wedge-shaped body with pop-up headlights and prominent fenders made it one of the icons of the Japanese sports scene of its day. The GSR-X version ranked among the well-equipped high-performance models.
The sharp edges of the wedge-shaped body reward careful sanding. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, spray the body with primer and lay the color on with an airbrush in thin coats. Mask the pop-up headlights, the glazing and the black plastic parts and fit them last; a polished gloss clear coat will bring out the period character of the car.
