A resin detail accessory of the PANZER ART brand in 1:35 scale. This is not a model of the vehicle but a standalone casting of the engine deck with a simulated canvas cover for the German Opel Omnibus bus. The accessory replaces the matching part of the base kit and gives the build a faithfully covered engine section. Its dimensions follow the kit from Roden.
The Opel Omnibus was a bus built on the chassis of the Opel Blitz truck, and in the Second World War it served the German army as a staff, ambulance and signals vehicle among other roles. Canvas covers over the engine section protected the machinery from the weather and make a rewarding period detail.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and fit it to the vehicle. Glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and do the sanding with respiratory protection. The fabric folds stand out once a primer has been applied and, during painting, with highlighting, a wash and drybrushing.
