An injection-molded plastic set of figures of German soldiers in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The subject refers to Operation Typhoon, the German attack aimed at taking Moscow in the autumn and winter of 1941. The package contains several figures in field gear adapted to the weather and the combat situation. It is a kit to be assembled and painted, not finished figures and not a vehicle model.
Operation Typhoon (Unternehmen Taifun) was the code name for the German offensive against Moscow launched at the beginning of October 1941. The advance was first slowed by autumn mud and then by a hard winter with frosts for which the German infantry was not prepared. The attack halted before the Soviet capital at the turn of November and December and was answered by a Soviet counterattack. The soldiers of the time wore field uniforms supplemented with improvised winter items, helmets and infantry equipment.
Separate the parts carefully from the sprues, clean up the parting seams and join them with liquid cement for plastic. Apply a primer before painting. With figures it pays to concentrate on the faces and hands and on the folds of the uniforms, which a darker glaze will bring out. Apply the field gray shades and the winter items in thin coats.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
