The numerals and insignia carried by contemporary Russian vehicles make up the contents of this set. It is neither camouflage nor one particular machine: the films are conceived as a stock of markings from which you pick what you need for a model.
The tactical number on the turret is the most conspicuous distinguishing element on Russian equipment and it tends to be applied simply, with a brush or a stencil right at the unit. Hence its characteristic shape: thick strokes, often outlined with a contrasting line, and irregularities that a decal printed on smooth film can never imitate. A sprayed number, by contrast, gives back exactly that impression, because it comes about the same way as the original.
With numerals it matters that the inner parts of the characters, that is, the centers of the zeros and the sixes, stay in their places. Lift the film off the backing paper slowly, therefore, and transfer it with transfer tape, not with your fingers. On the vertical wall of a turret, check the position beforehand by measuring from the edge, because the spacing of the numerals catches the eye more than a slight rotation does. Spray at right angles and lightly, and keep any spare characters from the sheet for the next build.
