This set shows an ornamental fountain with figures of swans of the kind that adorned city parks and squares. It is not a model of equipment but a scenic accessory for a diorama. In 1:35 scale it will bring into a scene an element that appears among military models only rarely, and it is precisely for that reason that it catches the eye.
The strongest diorama views stand on opposites. An ornamental fountain beside a dusty armored vehicle, swans of stone against facades shot through, calm water in the middle of a wrecked city – that is a picture that will affect the viewer far more than another barrel or crate. Let the stone surfaces fade into a light tone and draw the joints out only lightly, otherwise the sculptural work will be lost. Inside the bowl suggest deposits and a greenish film at the edge – clear water in an abandoned park comes across as unbelievable. Fade the swans only slightly, so that they stay readable and the eye finds them at first glance.
