A set of small plants and weeds from the production of Matho Models, a specialist in diorama accessories and scenic materials. It is not a kit of a model but a scenic material: vegetation that you plant into a finished scene in 1:35 scale to give it a natural, lived-in look. Low weeds are in fact the detail that on competition dioramas sets an average base apart from a convincing landscape.
Weeds and low plants belong everywhere nobody looks after the greenery: by verges and marker posts, at the foot of walls and fences, in the joints of paving, on collapsed low walls, embankments and around the wrecks of equipment. The vegetation combines excellently with static grass and pigments; set the clumps of plants into an already grassed surface so that the scene looks layered. The set suits civilian and military subjects regardless of the era.
Separate the individual clumps with a sharp knife or tweezers and set them into holes pierced in the surface beforehand. Glue them with a small amount of PVA (white) glue, which cannot be seen once dry. You will fine-tune the look with light toning in diluted acrylic paints or with pigments: darken the roots and the bottoms of the clumps and lighten the tips instead, and you will gain a natural depth. Lay the placing out dry before gluing.
The scenic material is supplied with no glue or paints; those are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
