The box offers five pieces of a scale model of the pistol designated by the abbreviation PM in 1:35 scale. The abbreviation refers to the Makarov pistol, that is the most widespread Eastern service weapon of the short category. The set belongs to the family of small personal weaponry which the maker carries in parallel for several types, including Western patterns.
A personal weapon sits in the holster on a figure's belt, on the table of a command post, in an open drawer, on the seat of a vehicle or in the hand of a figure to which you want to give a role other than that of a rifleman with a long weapon. It is precisely such details that set a staff scene apart from a combat one, and they take up a minimum of space. Five pieces are enough for several separate scenes.
In 1:35 a pistol measures only a few millimeters, so work over a tray with a raised edge and use tweezers with fine points. Separate the part with a cut under light from the side, so that you can see where the carrier runs. Lay the base on in one very thin coat. Bring out the shape by drawing a dark wash over the whole part and then running the edge of an almost dry brush over only the sharp edges of the slide and the frame. Set the grip apart with a slightly warmer shade.
The goods have no surface finish; paints and glue are not enclosed.
