The package contains four figures of members of a private security company escorting a protected person, together with personal equipment and accessories. The figures are injection-molded in plastic and are supplied as parts to be assembled.
The set depicts typical figures of the private security teams active in Iraq in the middle of the last decade. These teams provided escort for individuals and for convoys. Their appearance is characterized by a combination of civilian or paramilitary clothing with a ballistic vest, a load-carrying system and radio equipment, which gives a different silhouette from regular army figures. It is exactly this contrast that makes the set useful for bringing scenes with contemporary equipment to life.
Before gluing, carefully sand down the mold seams on the limbs and heads, otherwise an unwanted ridge will appear at the joint. Fill the joints at the shoulders and the collar with putty and sand them, so that the fabric runs on. Paint in layers: primer, the base tone of the clothing, then lightened tops of the folds and darker shadows in the recesses. Leave the faces until last and work in thin acrylic glazes; suggest the eyes finely, because in this scale a heavy line ruins a figure. Paint the equipment and the accessories separately and glue them on once they are finished, as they are easier to reach that way.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
