1:35 Police of the Czech Republic - traffic patrol 1992 depicts a member of a traffic patrol of the Police of the Czech Republic as it looked in 1992.
Responsibility details are not available.
This figure in 1:35 belongs to the traffic service, that is to the part of the force that deals with road traffic. The abbreviation dop. in the name stands for the traffic branch. What sets it apart from the public order patrol of the same year is precisely the focus of the service, and so the two figures can be placed side by side in a collection without competing with one another.
At the start of the 1990s the traffic service worked by the roadside: it stopped vehicles, directed traffic at intersections and watched over its flow. The uniform of the time was in a single color and austere, supplemented by pronounced white items of equipment that were clearly visible from a distance. In a scene the figure therefore naturally draws the viewer's eye.
It is of most use at the edge of a roadway, beside a parked car, by a barrier or at an intersection with a striped bollard. An interesting vignette can also be made of a pair with a second figure, where one stops a vehicle and the other stands a little way off.
The contrast between the dark uniform and the light parts of the equipment is the main theme here. Spray the light elements over a gray base in two thin coats so that they stay clean, and only then add a light shadow. The dark areas on the contrary need lightened edges. At the end tie the sheen together with a matte coat, so that the white does not look like plastic.
