The 1:35 Pz. 38(t) / Marder III - Dragon (improved) is an improved masking set for the road wheels, cut for the kits of the Pz. 38(t) and the Marder III from the Dragon company in 1:35 scale.

The set holds masking elements for wheels, not parts of a model. It serves to separate the color of the rubber tire from the color of the wheel on the large road wheels of the chassis that the Pz. 38(t) and the Marder III tank destroyer built on it share. The set is cut for the kits from the Dragon company and the name designates it as an improved version. The material, the number of pieces and the dimensions are stated on the box of the set.
The timing decides the quality of the edge more than the precision of the application. If you take the mask off straight after spraying, the paint at the margin can smear. If you leave it on the wheel until full curing, the film of paint will bridge the edge of the mask and will tear when peeled, so that small jagged marks arise. The optimum is the state when the paint is dry to the touch but not yet fully cured, that is as a rule tens of minutes after the last pass with ordinary modeling paints. Then draw the mask off slowly, at an angle across the edge and in the direction of the already painted area.
For builders of armored hardware in 1:35 scale with an interest in a cleanly worked running gear. The large wheels of this type of chassis are clearly visible from the side, so an exact edge of the tire shows markedly in the result.
The set contains masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
