A CMK engine set for the Pz.38(t) Ausf. E/F light tank in 1:48 scale. It makes it possible to build the model with the engine compartment exposed.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Pz.38(t) is a light tank of Czechoslovak origin which the Wehrmacht used on a large scale in the first years of the Second World War. The Ausf. E and F forms are among the later series with thicker frontal armor. The powerplant was housed at the rear and it was a Praga inline six-cylinder gasoline engine.
The set adds the engine and the equipment of the engine compartment to the model, that is the areas a plastic kit deals with only from the outside. It comes into its own on a model with the covers open, on a vehicle under repair in a diorama or on hardware set aside for maintenance, where the engine is visible. Opening the engine compartment up usually calls for modifying the parts of the kit, so reckon with cutting and with careful dry fitting. You will find the exact extent of the set in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, ordinary modeling cement has no effect on them and they are glued with super glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down carefully, so as not to take anything off the detail. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts and coat them with a primer, otherwise the finish will hold badly. An engine compartment tends to be darker and dirtier than the rest of the vehicle, so bring the details out with a dry brush and suggest the oily areas with a dark oil paint.
The engine set alone is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
