Friulmodel 1:35 PzKpfw. I / Opel Maultier is a set of workable white metal tracks that replace the plastic tracks of a kit and imitate a real track faithfully.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains individual white metal links that are threaded onto the supplied wire and joined into a fully workable track with a realistic sag. It is a metal replacement for plastic tracks, not a model of a vehicle. The set is intended for models of the light tank PzKpfw. I and the half-track truck Opel Maultier in 1:35 scale, which use a related type of track.
The Panzer I was a German light tank of the early period of the Second World War, which served mainly for training and in the opening campaigns and became the basis for a range of derived vehicles. The Opel Maultier came about as a half-track conversion of a truck in which the rear axle was replaced by a tracked running gear – this solution markedly improved mobility in mud and snow on the Eastern Front. Both vehicles are popular among modelers for their typical early-war look.
Clean the links of flash, arrange them into two tracks and join them with the threaded wire forming the pins; secure the joints with cyanoacrylate. Blacken the metal by bluing or spray it with a primer and paint. Mud and dust on the tracks are easily created with pigments, which hold on metal very well. Assemble the track directly on the running gear of the model.
This is an accessory (replacement tracks), not a complete model. The vehicle kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
